Sand extraction from the Mekong River
Lecture at the Faculty of Management, IPB University in Bogor Indonesia

Prof. Waibel co-supervised the Master thesis of M.A. Justus Leugner, with the topic

 „Sustainable Energy Generation in the Lower Mekong Region: Feasibility and Potentials of the Implementation of Green Hydrogen Production “, submitted to Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik (Prof. Michael Breitner), Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät, LUH.

 

April

In the course of the Mekong River Village, Project Prof. Waibel undertook a trip visit the GIZ Office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and completed data collection with a survey of Companies engaged in sand extraction from the Mekong River.

 

August

On 11 August Prof. Waibel gave a lecture at the Faculty of Management, IPB University in Bogor Indonesia on the topic: „Building Resilience through Agrifood SystemsTransformation in Asia“. The lecture  was a Hybrid event as part of the 8th International Summer School of IPB University. Former PhD student and Alumni of the Facultulty of Economics and Management, LUH, Dr. Eko Chahyadi  acted as the Director of the Summer School.

 

October

From 19 – 24 October, upon Invitation of the Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU), Wuhan, China, Prof Waibel participarted in the 4th Global Food Security Forum for Young Scientists in Shanghai, China as a discussion leader. The event was part of „CIEP 2025“, the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, attended by some 2600 scientists and experts from  all around the world .
