Overview of major issues of economic development and poverty reduction, implications of economic growth theories for development the economics of poverty, the role of agriculture in economic development - Overview the theoretical concepts of environmental economics: public goods and market failure, public sector solutions (Pigou) and private solutions (Coase) to externatilitis. Bemerkungen:
Erwartete Vorkenntnisse: Modules of the first 4 terms, fair command of English language: The course can be taken by students of economics and related fields (e.g. horticulture , engineering sociology, political science). It requires a basic understanding of microeconomic theory. The exam students are free to choose the language - English or German.
