Financial education of small and microentrepreneurs in Uganda
Small and microentrepreneurs provide an important contribution to job creation and output growth in developing countries. It is of particular interest if these businesses have the potential to grow, to create jobs and thus contribute to economic development. Our research project analyzes the efficiency of financial education trainings on small and microentrepreneuers behavior in Kampala, Uganda. We compare the effectiveness of providing either personalized feedback about past financial behavior with rule of thumb information about financial behavior. This project is part of a panel study of small and microentrepreneuers in Kampala and surveys 500 businesses annually.
