Poverty, Development and Environment in Developing Countries

The Institute of Development and Agricultural Economics and the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade will present at the "Nacht die Wissen schafft" actual research projects and the latest research results from different developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Films, photos, games and experiments, also posters and discussions with the members of the staff of the institutes will give information to various themes.

For example the importance of environmental factors or local governance for rural migration will be presented. Migration, village development, energy supply and production conditions will be themes. Also information about sustainable use, biological production and Fair Trade, as well as certification of protection zones.
